If I let my property unfurnished, do I still need to supply any white goods?

Where the property is required unfurnished, landlords will still be required to supply the following items;

  • Fridge freezer.
  • Cooker and oven.
  • Net and heavy curtains.

When I lease my property, what should I do?

Just give our leasing staff a call, and they will be happy to set up a free property appraisal. Before you lease your property, we will meet you at the property to discuss any issues that might need to be resolved.

How much time will it take to rent my property?

In general, the lease procedure might take as little as 24 hours or as long as 10 days.

Who is in charge of council tax and bills?

SAV Properties will transfer all utility bills and council tax to the tenants. All utility costs and council tax will be the tenant’s responsibility for the duration of the lease.

How do I get paid?

An automatic BACS system handles all payments. It typically takes two to three business days for payments to appear in your account.

When do I get paid?

Every month on the first Friday, rent is paid. The payment will be made on the second Friday of the month if there are five weeks in a month.

Do you have a commission fee per month?

No. Your monthly rent from SAV Properties will be the agreed-upon amount. We do not charge management fees or commissions.

How can I find out how much rent I am getting paid?

This will be explained to you before you sign a contract. The landlord’s copy of the contract will likewise contain this.

Do I get any kind of statement for the rent I pay?

Yes. You will receive a payment advice each month or every quarter that details how much rent you were paid for the previous period.

Do I need to let my mortgage company know?

If your mortgage terms permit you to rent out your property, you must confirm this with your mortgage provider.

What paperwork will I need to lease my property?

To lease your property, you will need the following paperwork. Kindly make use of this landlord checklist:
